In order to facilitate a seamless integration of Indian traditional knowledge with modern subjects, UGC came up with the guidelines for training of faculty on Indian knowledge system. In this regard, the UGC in collaboration with the IKS Division of Ministry of Education planned to organize six-day short term face to face training programme for 1000 teachers at six HRDCs during July-October, 2023. Two faculty members from SSDGC attended six day training program on IKS conducted by UGC-HRDC at New Delhi. To promote Indian knowledge system among students and staff, the college decided to form an IKS club. College inaugurated IKS (Indian Knowledge System) Club on 9th November,2023.
